If you are not in Wilhemsburg, 18 of August can also start visiting an open air unintentional exhibition in front of a bank when it is sunday and the bank is closed but everyone is around having their walk on Bagdat Street in Istanbul.

Wenn du nicht in Wilhelsmburg bist, kannst du auch am 18. August eine spontane open-air Ausstellung vor einer Bank in Istanbul besuchen, wenn es Sonntag ist und die Bank geschlossen, aber jeder einen Spaziergang macht, auf der Bagdat Strasse in Istanbul.

He knows what do to do with the city furniture, so a lot to learn from him. By the way what is his name? And what is it that he draws so seriously...

Er weiß was mit der Einrichtung der Stadt zu tun ist, man kann eine Menge von ihm lernen. Wie ist eigentlich sein Name? Und was malt er denn da so ernsthaft?

Jonathan Raban has once said; "The city as we imagine it, the soft city of illusion, myth, aspiration, nightmare, is as real, maybe more real, than the hard city one can locate in maps and statics, in monographs on urban sociology and demography and architecture."

Jonathan Raban sagte einst:" Die Stadt wie wir uns sie vorstellen, die 'weiche' Stadt unserer Illusion, Mythos, Hoffnung, Albtraum, ist ebenso real, vielleicht realer, als die 'harte' Stadt, die wir auf Karten, in Statistiken und Monographien über Stadtsoziologie, Demographie und Architektur verorten können."


EARLY
The space is waiting to become a place. It already tells a lot, but it is in mood of waiting, still, calm and looking around if anybody or any wind would drop by to change the mood. It looks like quite early morning when all sleeps and waits to be wakened up.

Früh
Der Raum wartet darauf ein Platz zu werden. Er erzählt schon eine Menge, ist aber noch in Wartestimmung, leise, ruhig und darauf wartend, dass jemand oder etwas vorbeikommt und die Stimmung ändert. Es scheint früh am Morgen zu sein, wenn alle schlafen und darauf warten geweckt zu werden.





The unexpected creates the space so the possibilities of the unwanted or not-organized gives the opportunity for more. So maybe the question can be: " Is there a place in Wilhemsburg that can be called as an unexpected place?"

Das Unerwartete schafft Raum, so dass das Ungewollte, das Unorganisierte die Möglichkeit zur Entfaltung bekommt. Die Frage könnte sein: "Gibt es einen Platz in Wilhelmsburg, der der ungeahnte Platz genannt werden könnte?"


What kind of a meeting point is that? Quite mobile and open air... The neighbours were surprised to see the minibus go around, the last time they have seen something like this was when the circus Zimparella has come; this looks more serious but still quite inviting. The carpet on the pavement is enough by itself.

Was ist denn das für ein Treffpunkt? Ziemlich mobil und offen... Die Anwohner waren überrascht den Minibus herumfahren zu sehen. Das letzte Mal, dass sie sowas gesehen haben, war als der Zirkus Zimparella vor Ort war; dies hier sieht aber seriöser aus und auch sehr einladend. Der Teppich auf dem Boden spricht für sich selbst.


PICTURES ON CLOTHSLINE
There was once the story that all the clothsline in Istanbul were used to hang pictures and photographs. To dry a picture takes time. In İstanbul all started with the clothsline then throughout these 8 years of experiencing a neighbourhood that is in the very center of the city and facing the changes such as a gentrification process, Oda Projesi ended up with losing the space.

Es gibt die Geschichte, dass alle Wäscheleinen in Istanbul genutzt wurden, um Bilder und Fotos daran aufzuhängen. Ein Bild zu trocknen braucht Zeit. In Istanbul begann alles mit den Wäscheleinen und 8 Jahre Erfahrungen in einem Viertel, welches im Stadtzetrum liegt und viele Veränderungen wie den Prozess der Gentrifizierung miterlebt, stand Oda Projesi da und verlor den Raum.


ANY POSTCARDS?
Postcard is a possibility for places and spaces to travel around with the people in it. Or dictionary meaning " A postcard or post card is a rectangular piece of thick paper or thin cardboard intended for writing and mailing without an envelope and at a lower rate than a letter."

Irgendeine Postkarte?
Eine Postkarte ist eine Möglichkeit für Räume und Plätze herumzureisen, mit den Leuten darin. Oder die Bedeutung im Wörterbuch: "Eine Postkarte ist ein rechteckiges Stück dickem Papiers oder eine dünne Pappe gemacht zum Schreiben und Verschicken ohne Briefumschlag und mit einer geringeren Frankierung als ein Brief."

"Neeiiin, aber ich bin sicher du kennst sie, sie sind sehr einfach... und hier hast du eine Postkarte, die erklärt was wir tun"

Looks like Halle. The never ending blocks of buildings and organized-programmed meeting points. The rest is there to discover and reorganize; still a lot of surprises.

Sieht aus wie Halle. Nicht enden wollende Häuserblocks und festgelegte Treffpunkte. Der Rest ist da, um zu entdecken und umzugestalten; immer noch eine Menge Überraschungen.
